Memory care is one of the more expensive types of long-term care. Several factors contribute to this, including the specialized skills and training required of staff. On average, memory care costs roughly 20-30% more than assisted living in any given area.

The monthly rate ranges from $5,500 to $9,000. There are stand alone memory care facilities and ones in the same building as assisted living.
